First Aid Beauty Daily Resurfacing Lotion with 2% Niacinamide

This is a bottom of the jar review — I used every last bit of this product before giving my honest opinion.

The First Aid Beauty Daily Resurfacing Lotion with 2% Niacinamide is a lightweight cream from their Acne line. It's marketed as a moisturizer that helps fade pigmentation and acne spots without leaving your skin feeling dry. It retails for $30 for 1 oz.

It comes in a really nice hard plastic twist-up pump component. These are great for travel and store nicely in your drawers without spilling. I really like this kind of packaging.

This product actually delivers on its promise of moisture without the dryness that many acne products cause:

• Very moisturizing — despite being in an acne line, it genuinely hydrates
• Layers well with other products — no pilling when used with moisturizer or SPF
• Can skip moisturizer — if you don't need a lot of moisture, you can go straight to SPF after this
• Gentle but effective — works well for sensitive and younger skin

In addition to the 2% niacinamide, it also contains ceramides and glycerin — solid moisturizing ingredients that support the skin barrier.

I've really loved the First Aid Beauty Acne line for my kids (ages 12 and 13) who are becoming more interested in skincare. These products are gentle but effective, and I've already repurchased for them. If you're looking for a good starter skincare product for a young person, this is a great option.

It's a little light on the active side for treating pigmentation and acne spots in adults. If you need serious acne-fighting power, you'll probably want something stronger. But for maintenance and gentle daily care, it's solid.

I give the First Aid Beauty Daily Resurfacing Lotion a 7 out of 10. It's a wonderful product — moisturizing, gentle, and layers beautifully. It's just a bit light on actives for aggressive pigmentation or acne treatment. But for teens and anyone wanting a gentle daily resurfacing product, it's a great choice.
