Bottom of the Jar Review: Naturium Skin-Renewing Retinol Body Lotion

This is a bottom of the jar review — I used every last bit of this product before giving my honest opinion.

What Is It?

The Naturium Skin-Renewing Retinol Body Lotion is exactly what it sounds like — a medium-level moisturizing body lotion with retinol, fantastic for improving the texture and tone of your skin. It comes in 8 oz for $25 in a typical lotion tube, and there's also a larger 14 oz pump version for $40.

How It Performs

This is a medium-weight body lotion that delivers real results:

  • Visible improvement in skin quality — I've actually seen the difference
  • Helps with sun damage — those "crimes of my youth"
  • Great for crepey skin on arms or legs
  • Reasonably priced for what you get

Key Ingredients

The hero is encapsulated stabilized pure retinol plus shea butter for moisture. The encapsulation makes the retinol gentler and more stable.

A Note on Retinoids and Sun

Retinoids can make you a bit more sensitive to the sun, so you need adequate sun protection if using during the day. You can absolutely use this during the day — there's a lot of confusion in this area.

People think we recommend Retin-A at night because of sunburn risk. It's actually because Retin-A degrades with sunlight — it's a less effective product if applied during the day. Other retinoids (like the one in this lotion) are fine to use during the day, you just want to be cautious about unprotected sun exposure.

Who Is This For?

Anyone with:

  • Crepey skin on arms, legs, or other areas
  • Sun damage they want to fade
  • A desire to improve skin tone and texture on the body
  • Looking for an affordable retinol body care option

The Verdict

I give the Naturium Skin-Renewing Retinol Body Lotion a 10 out of 10. I love this. I've bought it multiple times and strongly recommend it. It's reasonably priced and great for both improving sun damage and overall skin quality on your body.
