Olay Cleansing Melts + Hyaluronic Acid

This is a bottom of the jar review — I used these completely before giving my honest opinion.

The Olay Cleansing Melts are an innovative water-activated cleanser in the form of little dry squares. I tried the hyaluronic acid version. You get 32 melts per package for $13–$15 depending on where you purchase. There are a few different options in the line.

They come in a small resealable package containing little tiny squares that look kind of like felt. Super lightweight and easy to pack — there's no liquid, which is what makes them perfect for travel.

You add water to a melt, lather it in your hands, and it foams up beautifully:

• Foams up nicely — really impressive bubble action
• Cleanses skin AND removes makeup — does both jobs well
• No liquid means easy to pack — perfect TSA-friendly travel cleanser
• Inexpensive and easy to find
• I'll use these going forward — I bought them in a pinch and they replaced my travel cleanser routine permanently

Some negative reviews say the melts just turned into a little ball of goo that didn't foam. Here's the trick:

• Use enough water — they need to be thoroughly wet
• Use a lot of friction — really lather them up between your hands

If you do those two things, they're amazing. If you don't, they will turn into a goo ball.

Anyone who travels. These are a game changer if you're tired of dealing with leaky travel-size cleanser bottles or that gross travel cleanser that's been sitting in your bag for months. Also great for the gym, weekend trips, or anywhere you need a compact cleanser.

I give the Olay Cleansing Melts a 10 out of 10. They're so easy, inexpensive, easy to find, and genuinely amazing for travel. I bought them in a pinch and now I'll always use them. Just remember to use enough water and friction to get them to foam properly.
